DESCRIPTION:The Robert M. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center will h
 ost a special predictive microbiology learning experience featuring Dr. Vi
 jaya Juneja\, USDA-ARS lead scientist in predictive microbiology\, on Tues
 day\, Sept. 22\, 2026.\n\n \n\nThis is a unique opportunity to learn from 
 an internationally recognized authority in food safety\, foodborne pathoge
 ns\, microbial modeling and minimally processed foods. Dr. Juneja’s work
  has helped advance how industry\, researchers and regulators understand a
 nd predict microbial behavior in food systems.\n\n \n\nThe learning experi
 ence will introduce participants to the role of predictive microbiology in
  food safety and industry decision-making. Participants will gain a basic 
 understanding of microbiology as it applies to industry work and will have
  the opportunity to use a software program during the session to apply con
 cepts in real time.\n\n \n\nAttend In Person or Virtually\n\n \n\nIn perso

  interested in learning how predictive microbiology supports food safety\,

 \nDr. Vijaya Juneja is a lead scientist in predictive microbiology with th
 e USDA Agricultural Research Service. He is internationally recognized for
  his expertise in food safety\, foodborne pathogens\, microbial modeling a
 nd minimally processed foods.\n\n \n\nContent from this type of learning e
 xperience is often offered through formal certificate-based training. FAPC
  is making this opportunity available at no cost to support practical food
