Interested in learning meat harvesting and processing?

 

Oklahoma State University’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center, in partnership with Osage Nation, will offer Oklahoma Meat Mastery Training 2026, a five-week hands-on program designed to help build a skilled workforce for the meat-processing industry.

 

Participants will receive practical training in meat harvesting and processing while gaining exposure to real-world techniques and industry practices. The program also includes instruction in:

  • HACCP
  • Sanitation
  • Food Defense
  • Good Manufacturing Practices

 

In addition to hands-on training, participants will receive:

  • Free lodging on the OSU campus
  • A $2,000 stipend upon successful completion of the program

 

This program is ideal for individuals interested in gaining proficiency in meat processing and for those seeking technical training that can support workforce readiness in the industry.
